Studio Policies

Welcome to my music studio! If you are reading this, it is because you are a new student and we have a first lesson scheduled. Please take a minute to go through the below information.

1. Cancellation/Rescheduling: In general, I need at least 24 hours notice for all cancellation and reschedule requests, and I will request payment for the lesson if cancellations are made within 24 hours of the lesson time. There is, however, one big exception to this, which applies if your lessons are in-person:

 

2. Illness: Do not show up to an in person lesson if you are, or if your child is, symptomatic of any communicable disease. This applies even if it isn't that bad or if you/they are mostly better but still sneezing and coughing a bit. I will not teach the lesson. This is because I unfortunately tend to catch colds easily, pre-pandemic spent several autumns crippled with colds, and a few years ago, had to rehabilitate a vocal injury because of this. I am happy and prepared to move the lesson online at a moment's notice. If you are totally unable to do anything, I will waive my fee and, if we are at OA, only charge the studio fee.
